New painting: Thinking of the precious

Gollum lost in his own thoughts

Last week I have finished the Gollum painting and after a couple of days of drying, I could finally manage to take a good picture of it.

The paint shows him standing inside a cave somewhere in the Misty Mountains.

Although the painting does not explicitly show it, there is a stream or underground lake near him (hence the blueish tone of the painting).

A gap in the ceiling allows for a ray of light to enter the chamber and illuminate his happy face. Maybe Gollum is probably thinking of the precious. Or some slimy fish.

I am really happy about how the colors have turned to be. The palette is really very simple, just three basic colors are making the trick.
