New painting: Captain Kirk on the bridge!

After finishing the Gorn portrait it was only a matter of time before I paint the most daring captain in Starfleet: James T.Kirk portrayed by William Shatner.

For this particular painting, I decided to use as reference one of the last scenes of the original «Star Trek» episode in which he fights against the Gorn.

Once the alien creature is defeated an exhausted Kirk looks up to the Metron alien and declines to destroy the Gorn claiming that the Federation and the Gorn can talk their dispute over and perhaps reach an agreement. There´s a lesson in humanity to be learned here!
