About the artwork

Oil fantasy painting of the legendary Geralt of Rivia, the protagonist of The Witcher series of short stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. This painting is inspired by the appearance of Geralt as seen in “The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt” videogame and the cosplayer Maul.

The fiery red background greatly enhances Geralt’s silhouette which contrasts his calm, but also alert, posture.

Part of a series of portraits of various characters from The Witcher series, which also include Ciri and Yennefer.
